Description
I felt as if I had an appointment this morning with a fateful moment. So I went up to the mountain in the rain. Half-frozen, I came down with little to show for the early morning soak. Then out of the woods, this monkey came and sat in front of me. After I took a few pictures, he quietly walked back and disappeared. He was pretty beaten up and had a gash across his right forehead. He ignored me in his despondence and left. I was ecstatic! Close encounters have been suppressed by the authorities due to pressing tourists. The government’s pest-control solution was throwing firecrackers at the friendly Macaque.
