The challenge was to photograph places where countless photographs have been made. It is a degree of difficulty created by the lack of novelty. How many wannabe Ansel Adams,‘s can one see and not yawn? But for the mere pleasure of understanding the gift of the sublime, John Chao created a composite of six high definition medium format files for one large iconic view of the awakening. This image is also available as a limited-edition poster.
